CANDY CANE POPCORN

  • 4 each qt. popcorn
  • 2 each C. whole nuts (pecans, cashews, peanuts, etc.)
  • 3 each C. miniature marshmallows
  • 0 each C. spiced gum drops (omit the black ones)
  • 1 each C. butter
  • 0 each C. granulated sugar
  • 0.5 each C. light corn syrup
  • 1 each tsp. vanilla extract

Instructions

    Mix popcorn, nuts, marshmallows and gum drops in large bowl.

    Melt butter in heavy saucepan.

    Add sugar, corn syrup and bring to a boil.

    Stirring, simmer for 3 minutes.

    Add vanilla extract.

    Blend well.

    Pour over popcorn.

    Mix, let stand 2 minutes to cool.

    With wet hands, shape into cane.

    Wrap in plastic.

    Store in cool place.
