Candied Yams With Bourbon

Sweet potatoes glazed with corn syrup, maple syrup, and Kentucky bourbon — a rich and indulgent holiday side dish.

  • 6 whole large sweet potatoes
  • 0.3 cup light corn syrup
  • 0.3 cup dark corn syrup
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 0.3 cup Kentucky bourbon
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, minced

Instructions

    Cook sweet potatoes; peel and slice crosswise then lengthwise or as desired.

    Cool and arrange in a buttered casserole pan or dish.

    Combine corn syrups, maple syrup, bourbon, salt, and pepper. Pour over potatoes.
