California Pot Roast

A simple and satisfying pot roast dredged in seasoned flour, browned with carrots and onion, and gently simmered with Worcestershire for 4 hours.

  • 4 lb beef rump roast
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, chopped fine
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

    Dredge meat in flour, salt, and pepper. Brown in oil in a skillet.

    Transfer to crockpot with all remaining ingredients.

    Cover and simmer on LOW about 4 hours until tender.
