Buttermilk Lemon Pound Cake

  • 1 each -1/2 c. butter, softened
  • 0 each c. sugar
  • 4 each eggs
  • 0 each c. flour
  • 0.5 each tsp. salt
  • 0.5 each tsp. soda
  • 1 each c. buttermilk
  • 2 each tbsp. lemon extract

Instructions

    Cream butter and sugar in mixer bowl until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

  3. 3

    Sift flour, salt and soda together.

  4. 4

    Add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating well after each addition.

  5. 5

    Stir in lemon extract.

  6. 6

    Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.

  7. 7

    Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/4 hours.

    Cool in pan.

    Invert onto serving plate.
