- 3 lb lean beef, cubed
- 21 0.5 oz condensed golden mushroom soup (2 cans)
- 1 envelope dry onion soup mix (1 oz)
- 0.5 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
- 3 cup cooked rice or egg noodles, for serving

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Place beef cubes in a Dutch oven or heavy oven-safe pot.

Pour golden mushroom soup over the beef, then sprinkle dry onion soup mix on top. Do not stir.

Cover and bake for 2 to 3 hours, until beef is very tender.

For a richer sauce, stir in sour cream just before serving.
