  • 3 lb lean beef, cubed
  • 21 0.5 oz condensed golden mushroom soup (2 cans)
  • 1 envelope dry onion soup mix (1 oz)
  • 0.5 cup sour cream (optional, for serving)
  • 3 cup cooked rice or egg noodles, for serving

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 325°F.

    Place beef cubes in a Dutch oven or heavy oven-safe pot.

    Pour golden mushroom soup over the beef, then sprinkle dry onion soup mix on top. Do not stir.

    Cover and bake for 2 to 3 hours, until beef is very tender.

    For a richer sauce, stir in sour cream just before serving.

    Serve over cooked rice or egg noodles.
