Crockpot brisket

  • 1 3-5lb brisket - not too lean
  • 1 can cranberry sauce jellied, soup can size
  • 1 envelope onion soup mix
  • bottle beer or more as needed - I prefer dark, but use the kind of beer you
  • enjoy drinking
  • press into roast with fingers. Spoon out cranberry sauce and crumble with hands
  • over top of brisket. It tastes better if you get your hands a little dirty! Slowly pour
  • in beer so that the roast is covered.
  • If your cooker is large enough, I cut up carrots and potatoes and place around the
  • brisket to have on the side with dinner. Add more beer if needed to cover added
  • vegetables.
  • easy. Go another hour if it's not falling apart when you pierce it with a fork.

    Place brisket in crock pot, use onion soup mix as a "dry rub" rub all over top and

    Cook on low for 8-10 hrs. I put mine on the 'auto' setting and it's done in 8 hrs
