Breakfast Souffle

  • 16 slice of bread
  • 1 each -12 oz. can of Spam
  • 0.5 each onion, diced
  • 0.5 each green pepper, chopped
  • 1 each -4 oz. can mushrooms, drained
  • 8 oz cheddar cheese, grated
  • 6 each eggs
  • 0 cup milk
  • 1 each / 4 Teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cup corn flakes, crushed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter

Instructions

    Remove crusts from bread.

    Butter one side.

    Place half of bead, buttered side down, in a 9x13x2 inch baking dish.

    Slice Spam into 12 slices and place on bread.

    Sprinkle the onion, green pepper, mushrooms, and cheese over the Spam mixture.

    Place remaining bread on top, buttered side up.

    Beat the eggs.

    Add milk and seasonings.

    Pour over bread.

    Refrigerate over night.

    Remove one hour before baking.

    Top with crushed corn flakes and melted butter.

    Bake at 350*F for one hour or until set.
