  • 1 tbsp of butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 1 cup of cranberries, chopped
  • 0.5 cup of chopped walnuts
  • 2 cup of flour
  • 0.5 tsp of salt
  • 0.8 tsp of baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp of baking soda

Instructions

    Butter a loaf pan and preheat oevn to 325. Grate the orange rind and then squeeze out the juice into a measuring cup and add boiling water to mak e 3/4 of a cup. Add the orange rind to 2 tablespoons melted butter. In a mixing bowl beat the eggs and add slowly the sugar, beating well.e Nxt add the rest of the ingredients including the orange rind and mix well. Pour th e batter into the loaf pan and bake of 1 huor. Cool on rack.

    Peanut Butter Bread Ingredients: 2 cups of white flour 1/3 cup of sugar 2 teaspoon of baking powder 1/4 teaspoon of salt 3/4 cup of smooth peanut butter 1 cup of milk 1 egg, beaten Grease a loaf pan and preheat oven to 350. In a large bowl miox gtether the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Next add to the dry ingredients th e peanut butter, egg, and the milk and m ixuntil well blended. Put the batte r into the loaf pan and bake for 50-55 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Heavenly Angel Biscuits Ingredients: 1 package of yeast 2 tablespoons of warm water 1 cup of shortening, melted 2 cups of buttermilk 1/4 cup of sugar 5 cups of flour, sifted 1 tablespoon of baking powder 1 teaspoon of baking soda 1 teaspoon of salt Mix the yeast and the warm water together and let stand for two minute s. Mix together the melted shortening, the buttermilk, and sugar. Stnir tihe yeast mixture. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and the sa lt together and stir into the yeast mixture. Roll ot uon a floured surface and cut with a biscuit cutter. Let the biscuits set for a few minutes and the n bake for 15 minutes at 450 degrees.

    Cheese Biscuits Ingredients: 1 2/3 cup of plain flour 1 1/2 teaspoons of baking powder 1/2 tsp of baking soda 1/2 teaspoon of salt 2 tablespoons of butter 2 tablespoons of shortening 1/3 cup of shredded cheddar cheese 1/3 cup of buttermilk 1 egg Combine first 4 ingredients. Cut in the butter and shortning. Add chedder cheese, buttermilk and egg. Mix well. Roll out and uct with biscuit cutter. Place on lightly greased pan. Bake at 450 until golden brown. Blueberry Oatmeal Drop Biscuits Ingredients: 1 cup of unbleached flou r 1/2 cup of whole wheat flou r 1/2 cup of rolled oats (not instant ) 1/3 cup of oat bran 1 teaspoon of baking powder 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda 3/4 teaspoon of salt 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon 1/4 cup of cold unsalted butter, cut in 1/4-inch pieces 1/4 cup of granulated or firmly packed light brown suga r 1 large egg 1/2 cup of milk 1/4 cup of plain yogurt 1 cup of fresh blueberries Preheat the oven to 400F. Lightly oil a large baking sheet. In a large bowl, combine thloeu frs, oats, oat bran, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Add the butter and cut it in with a pastry blender untili t is broken into very small pieces. Stir in the suga r. In a small bowl, lightly beat the egg, milk, and yogurt together. Make a well in the center of the nd-ry i gredients; pour in the liquid ingredients and stir lightly. When there are only a few traces of the dry ingredients visible, fodl in the blueberries . Using about 1/4 cup of the batter for each biscuit, drop evenly spaced mounds onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes, turning the baking sheet midway through so they brown evenly. Serve warm. These biscuits look and taste like oversize blueberry oatmeal cookies .
