  • 2 sticks of butter
  • 3 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp of lemon extract
  • 1 tsp of almond extract
  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 0.5 tsp of vanilla
  • 0.5 tsp so butter flavoring
  • 3 cup sifted flour
  • 0.5 tsp of salt
  • 0.3 tsp of baking soda
  • 1 cup of buttermilk

    Mix butter and sugar at medium speed. Add the egg yolks one at a time, mixing after adding each egg. Add the flavorings. Sift the flour, salt and baking soda together. Add the dry ingredi- ents to the butter and egg mixture alternating with buttermilk beginning and ending with dry in- gredients. Beat egg whites until stiff but not dry and fold into the mixture. Pour into a greased and floured 10- inch tube pan. Bake in a 350 degree preheated oven for 1 hour and 15 min. Al- low to cool for 15 minutes before removing from pan ____________________
