- 1 onion -- chopped
- 1 clove garlic -- minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 lb cabbage
- 1 quart sauerkraut -- rinsed and drained
- 0.5 lb mushrooms -- sliced
- 1 lb boneless pork butt -- cut in 1" cubes
- 1 lb boneless veal -- cut in 1" cubes

- 0.5 lb Polish sausage -- sliced 1/2" thick
- 0.5 cup beef stock
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 2 tart apples -- diced
- 0.5 cup pitted prunes
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
- 0.5 cup red wine

Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook on low 8 to 10 hours. Serves 6.
