Benihana Fried Rice

- 1 cup uncooked white rice
- 5 tbsp butter
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1 cup chopped carrots
- 0.7 cup chopped scallions
- 3 tbsp sesame seeds
- 5 whole eggs
- 5 tbsp soy sauce

Cook rice according to package directions.

In a large skillet, melt butter. Add onions, carrots, and scallions. Sauté until carrots are translucent.

Bake sesame seeds at 350°F in a shallow pan for 10 to 15 minutes, shaking occasionally, until golden.

Beat eggs and scramble in a lightly greased skillet. Set aside.

Combine cooked rice, sautéed vegetables, toasted sesame seeds, and scrambled eggs.

Add soy sauce and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
