Ben & Jerry's Giant Chocolate Chip Cookies
Copycat Ben & Jerry's bakery-style giant chocolate chip cookies — crisp on the edges, soft in the center, loaded with chocolate chips and walnuts.

- 0.5 cup butter, room temperature
- 0.3 cup granulated sugar
- 0.3 cup brown sugar
- 1 count large egg
- 0.5 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour, plus 2 tsp
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 0.5 cup coarsely chopped walnuts

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Beat butter and both sugars in a large bowl until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.

Mix flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients to the batter and mix until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.

Drop dough by small scoops onto an ungreased cookie sheet, spacing 2–3 inches apart. Flatten each scoop to about 3 inches in diameter with the back of a spoon.

Bake 11–14 minutes until edges are set but centers are still slightly soft. Let cool on the cookie sheet 5 minutes before transferring. Makes about 12 large cookies.
