- 2 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon allspice
- 2 cup water 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 2 cup vinegar Cooked, peeled beets
- 1 tsp whole cloves

Put spices in cloth in liquid. Simmer 15 minutes. Pour over beets in jars and seal.
