Beer-Boiled Shrimp

  • 3 lb raw unshelled shrimp
  • 2 can beer (12 ounce cans)
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp celery seed
  • 0.5 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 0.5 cup vinegar

Instructions

    Combine all ingredients except shrimp and bring to a boil in a large pot.

    Add the shrimp. Simmer for about 5 minutes or until the shrimp are bright pink.

    Remove the shrimp from the liquid. Shell and remove veins.

    Put shrimp back into the stock and refrigerate until ready to serve.

    When ready to serve, drain and arrange on a platter with cocktail sauce.
