Beef Tips

Flour-coated beef or sirloin tips slow-cooked with mushrooms, green onions, and a rich beef broth-red wine sauce; served over buttered noodles.

  • 0.5 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 4 lb beef or sirloin tips
  • 0.5 cup chopped green onions
  • 2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 10 0.5 oz condensed beef broth
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp tomato paste
  • 0.3 cup dry red wine or water
  • 3 tbsp flour (for thickening)
  • 1 serving buttered egg noodles, for serving

Instructions

    Toss beef cubes with 1/2 cup flour, salt, and pepper; place in crockpot.

    Add green onions and mushrooms. Combine broth, Worcestershire, and tomato paste; pour over beef.

    Cook on LOW 8–10 hours. Mix remaining flour with wine or cold water; stir into pot to thicken.

    Serve over buttered noodles.
