  • 2 each To 3 Pounds Round, Chuck Steak Or Chuck Roast
  • 1 each ts Onion Salt
  • 0.5 each ts Salt
  • 0.5 each ts Garlic Salt
  • 0.5 each ts Lemon Pepper
  • 0.5 each ts Sausage Seasoning
  • 0.5 each ts Thyme
  • 0.5 each ts Oregano
  • 0.5 each ts Marjoram
  • 0.5 each ts Basil

Instructions

    Combine the spices in a dish.

  2. 2

    Cut the meat into strips less than 1/4 of an inch thick.

  3. 3

    Remove ALL fat.

  4. 4

    Sprinkle one side with the combined seasonings and beat with a meat hammer.

  5. 5

    Turn and repeat the seasoning and beating.

  6. 6

    Place the strips on a cookie sheet or other flat pan.

  7. 7

    Place in a 120 degree F oven for 4 hours.

  8. 8

    Turn and put back for another 4 hours.

  9. 9

    Keep the oven door propped open for the entire time to allow the moisture to escape.

  10. 10

    With a gas oven, the pilot light may be enough to provide the heat.

  11. 11

    Store in a plastic bag.
