BBQ Rib Eye Steaks

- 0.5 cup soy sauce
- 0.3 cup real maple syrup
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 0.5 tsp sesame oil
- 0.3 tsp Tabasco sauce
- 0.5 cup beer
- 4 10-oz beef rib eye steaks

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, and Tabasco. Stir well, then add beer and stir lightly.

Score any fatty areas on the steaks with a knife to prevent curling. Place steaks in a casserole dish.

Pour marinade over steaks. Using a fork, punch holes through the steaks on both sides so marinade penetrates.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.

Remove steaks from marinade. Grill over medium-high heat 4–5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to desired doneness.
