BB King's BBQ Ribs

Celebrity chef's signature baby back ribs dry-rubbed and slow-smoked, then basted with a rich tomato-soy-brown sugar BBQ sauce.

  • 2 lb pork loin ribs
  • 4 cup canned tomato sauce
  • 0.5 cup diced tomato
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 0.3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp dried onion
  • 0.3 cup soy sauce
  • 0.3 cup water
  • 0.5 cup Dry Spice Rub

    Rub ribs well with Dry Spice Rub. Refrigerate covered for 4–6 hours.

    In a saucepan combine tomato sauce, diced tomato, brown sugar, Worcestershire, onion, soy sauce, water, and 1/2 cup dry spice rub. Cook over very low heat for 3 hours.

    Preheat a grill or smoker over low heat. Add ribs and cook covered for 3–5 hours.

    Brush ribs with sauce during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Serve with remaining sauce.
