BB King BBQ Ribs

  • 2 lb pork loin ribs
  • 4 cup canned tomato sauce
  • 0.5 cup diced tomato
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 2 tbsp dried onion
  • 0.3 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup chili powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic granules
  • 1 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

    Make dry spice rub: combine chili powder, garlic granules, onion powder, cumin, salt, and seasoned salt in a jar.

    Rub ribs well with some of the spice rub and refrigerate covered for 4-6 hours.

    Make BBQ sauce: combine tomato sauce, diced tomato, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, dried onion, soy sauce, water, and 1/2 cup spice rub. Cook over very low heat for 3 hours.

    Preheat a grill or smoker over low heat until hot.

    Add ribs and cook covered for 3-5 hours. Brush with sauce during last minutes of cooking.

    Serve with remaining sauce, coleslaw, and grilled corn.
