Baked Stuffed Apples
Whole tart red apples cored and filled with brown sugar, golden raisins, and orange peel, topped with butter, then slow-cooked in an orange juice-infused bath.

- 6 medium tart red apples
- 0.7 cup light brown sugar, divided
- 0.3 cup golden seedless raisins
- 1 tbsp orange peel, grated
- 0.3 cup butter, softened
- 2 cup very hot water
- 3 tbsp frozen orange juice concentrate

Wash, core, and stem apples without peeling them. Stand in a buttered mold.

Stuff with 2/3 cup brown sugar mixed with raisins and orange peel. Fill tops with butter and sprinkle remaining sugar over.

Place mold in slow cooker. Pour hot water into cooker; sprinkle orange juice concentrate over apples.

Cover and cook on LOW until apples are tender, about 2–3 hours.
