Baked Pineapple Casserole

  • 0.5 cup margarine or butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 4 count eggs
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 5 count slices white bread, torn into pieces
  • 20 oz canned crushed pineapple with juice

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a medium casserole dish.

    In a mixing bowl, cream together margarine and sugar until fluffy.

    Beat in eggs one at a time until well incorporated.

  4. 4

    Stir in cinnamon and nutmeg.

    Fold in the torn bread pieces and the crushed pineapple with all its juice.

    Transfer mixture to the prepared casserole dish.

    Bake for 60 minutes, or until bubbly and lightly browned. Excellent served as a side dish with ham or pork.
