Baked Lasagna

  • 1 lb lasagna noodles
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 2 jars (16 oz each) meatless pasta sauce
  • 2 cup cottage cheese, large curd
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 lb mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
  • 0.8 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

    Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions until tender but still firm. Drain and keep warm.

    Sauté ground beef, garlic, and onion in a large skillet until beef is done. Add pasta sauce, salt, and Italian seasoning. Simmer on low heat 12-15 minutes.

    In a separate bowl, combine eggs and cottage cheese.

    Grease a 9x12-inch baking pan. Layer noodles, cooked beef mixture, cottage cheese mixture, and mozzarella.

    Repeat layers until pan is full, ending with sauce on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
