Baked Chicken Salad Casserole

  • 3 cup cooked chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 0.5 cup celery, chopped
  • 1 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated, divided
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 0.5 tsp prepared yellow mustard
  • 2 tbsp French dressing, for marinating
  • 1 cup potato chips, crushed

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 300°F.

    Marinate chicken and celery in French dressing for 1 hour.

    Combine marinated chicken and celery with ½ cup of the grated cheese and the slivered almonds.

    Blend sour cream, mustard and salt. Pour over chicken mixture and toss to coat. Transfer to a baking dish.

    Combine crushed potato chips with the remaining ½ cup grated cheese. Sprinkle over the top of the casserole.

    Bake for 30 minutes until heated through and top is lightly golden.
