Ingredients

Servings
4
  • 3 lb pork baby back ribs
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 0.3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Put ribs in a large pot with enough water to cover. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour until fork-tender.

  2. 2

Make BBQ sauce: Combine ketchup, vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, liquid smoke, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring often, until slightly thickened.

  3. 3

Heat broiler. Line broiler pan with foil.

  4. 4

Place ribs meat-side down, brush with half the sauce. Broil 4-5 inches from heat for 6-7 minutes.

  5. 5

Turn ribs over, brush with remaining sauce, and broil 6-7 minutes more until edges are slightly charred.
