Asparagus Pasta col Pesto

- 3 clove garlic, minced
- 0.3 cup olive oil
- 1 cup asparagus tips, chopped
- 1/8 cup onion, finely chopped
- 0.3 cup fresh basil, finely chopped
- 8 oz pasta noodles of your choice
- 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Sauté garlic, onion, and basil in olive oil in a small pan over medium heat until garlic and onion turn light brown. Do not overcook. Set aside and keep warm.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, adding 1 to 2 cups extra water beyond the usual amount.

Just before the water begins to boil, add the asparagus. When the water comes to a full boil, add the pasta and cook according to package directions.

Drain the pasta and asparagus together.

Pour the pesto sauce over the top and toss lightly to coat. Top with Parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
