Ingredients

Servings
4
  • 3 lb pork baby back ribs (3 half-racks)
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 0.3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp liquid smoke
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. 1

Place ribs in a large pot; cover with water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 1 hour until fork-tender.

  2. 2

Make BBQ sauce: combine ketchup, cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire, liquid smoke, and salt in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring often, until slightly thickened.

  3. 3

Preheat broiler. Line broiler pan with foil.

  4. 4

Place ribs meat-side down on broiler pan. Brush with half the sauce. Broil 4–5 inches from heat 6–7 minutes.

  5. 5

Flip ribs over, brush with remaining sauce, and broil another 6–7 minutes until edges are slightly charred.

  6. 6

    Serve immediately.
