  • 2 lb ground beef (hamburger)
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.3 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 0.3 cup onion, chopped
  • 10 0.8 oz condensed tomato soup
  • 10 0.8 oz condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 16 oz egg noodles
  • 8 oz processed cheese (Velveeta), sliced

    Preheat oven to 350°F.

    Brown ground beef with salt, pepper, brown sugar and onion in a large skillet. Drain fat. Stir in tomato soup.

    Cook egg noodles according to package directions; drain. Toss noodles with cream of chicken soup.

    In a greased 13x9-inch casserole dish, layer half the hamburger mixture, then half the noodle mixture, then half the processed cheese slices. Repeat layers.

    Bake for 30 minutes until bubbly and cheese is melted.
