Crock - Pot Apple Butter

   4 c. sugar or less

   4 tsp. cinnamon

   1/4 tsp. cloves

   1/4 tsp. salt

   Fill crock-pot heaping full of chopped apples (lid may not fit at start, but

   apples shrink as cooked). Drizzle sugar (sweet apples require less sugar),

8. 8

   cinnamon, cloves, and salt over apples. Cover and cook on high 1 hour. Lower

9. 9

   heat and cook all day until thick and dark in color. Stir occasionally. Put in

10. 10

    small jars, cool and freeze.
